Inspiration can strike at the most unusual of times, and in surprising ways... The Superfly series of paintings was inspired by the bold colors and rough animation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and take their namesake from the movie's brand new villain. Movie critique's aside, I grew up with the Turtles, and appreciated the nostalgia of the characters, the voice-acting cast, and the soundtrack filled with 90's greats. It doesn't hurt that the Turtles are all named for famous Italian Renaissance painters.
