This painting was created when the Russian invasion into Ukraine was very fresh. It features fabric butterflies, which remind me of peace, and the colors of the Ukraine flag.
When painting in encaustic, each layer is fused with heat. This style of painting must be gently heated in order to preserve the delicate bumps that form from this technique.
This encaustic painting is 8" x 8" and is wired for hanging.
