This painting features so many paint splatters and swipes of pigment stick. Like all the others in the graffiti series, this piece has an energy that remains from the energetic strokes of the paint brush.
The Graffiti series paintings all feature the same hallmarks. For starters, they are full of layers. Not only are there visible layers, but each painting is a rework of a prior painting that no longer spoke to me. In the visible layers there are bold swipes of wax, splattered paint, and deep gouges that hint at what lies beneath.
